Bernard Bayer

Piano Specialist

Pianist Bernard C. Bayer has captured the hearts of audiences around the world. He has given highly acclaimed concerts (both solo and orchestral) in France, Austria, Germany, Mexico, South Korea, the Middle East and the United States. He has also worked with numerous film composers, including Academy Award Winner Jan A.P. Kaczmarek. Mr. Bayer has appeared with celebrity guest singers on Britain’s hit reality show “Pop Stars to Opera Stars”. Bernard has won first prize in competitions including the Yamaha International Piano Competition, La Jolla Symphony Young Artists Competition, VOCE State Finals, MTAC Concerto Competition and Joanna Hodges International Piano Competition. Bernard received his Bachelor and Master’s Degrees from USC where he studied with world-renowned pedagogue John Perry. He spent most of his formative years studying with the incredible Jane Bastien (Bastien Piano Method). Bernard is passionate about teaching and inspires his students to achieve beyond their expectations.

Beth Rohde

Music Director and Voice Specialist

Beth Rohde (vocalist/music director) earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Vocal Performance and Music Production and Engineering from Berklee College of Music and a Master’s Degree in Jazz Studies from University of Southern California where she was awarded the (full tuition) Ella Fitzgerald Foundation Scholarship.  She worked as an in-house jingle singer for Radio Concepts, and she recorded jingles in Portuguese for Cartoon Network.  She has performed on 5 continents as a solo artist and with Les Brown’s Band of Renown. In her early years, Beth headed up the vocal department at McNally Smith College of Music where she taught and led vocal ensembles. Beth started teaching at USC as a graduate student in 1998 where she led USC’s Concert Vocal Jazz Ensemble and taught private lessons to vocal jazz students. In 2004, Beth founded Coast Music in Hermosa Beach. The school is well known for its incredible staff, ensemble programs and student successes. Beth's past and current students include several National Young Arts Winners,  Grammy Jazz Session Winners, Spotlight Awards Winners and a Presidential Scholar in the Arts Winner. Her students have been accepted to the nation's most esteemed music programs at  USC, UCLA, NYC, Yale, Berklee College of Music, UNT, MSM, U of Miami (Frost), The New School, U of Michigan, and many more. Additionally, Beth has coached celebrity vocalists in the studio, and she has coached singers on reality TV shows such as American Idol (Fox) and Fix My Choir (Oxygen Network). Beth has a gift and passion for developing talent. She loves being a part of  her student's growth and a witness to their successful futures.

Adi Yeshaya

Theory, Composition and Arranging

Adi Yeshaya is an Israeli-American composer, arranger and pianist. Graduate of Berklee College of Music in Boston, Adi has been active, both as a musician and educator for nearly four decades. His credentials include arranging and orchestration for many artists, including Prince, Whitney Houston, Aretha Franklin, Lena Horne, Doc Severinsen, Burt Bacharach, Minnesota Orchestra and for TV including NBC’s The Voice. As an educator, Adi teaches masterclasses across the world, and he has been on faculty at Berklee College of Music, The University of Minnesota and McNally Smith College of Music.
